« Perched atop the Consulat Voltaire, on its mezzanine, Io Burgard's four olfactory bodies parade. These strange whitish bones form a tangible life with languor, nonchalance, haste or stiffness. Each of these bodies has a name, relates to a season, exudes a scent and determines an organ. A reworking of a theory of humours (falsely attributed to Hippocrates, when in fact its history is much older), they retrace the balance of the world, that of the cycle of the seasons and that of the flesh. »
