« The project L’effluve des fleuves engages the visual and olfactory senses of viewers by inviting them, through a multifaceted and multisensory installation, to immerse themselves in an intimate portrait of the Loire. Inspired by the artist's encounters with users of the river, as well as by samples collected from its banks, this installation aims to make invisible fragments perceptible and to generate an olfactory identity for the river by invoking its various facets (mineral, animal, plant, etc.), while inviting us to reposition our anthropocentric point of view. L’effluve des fleuves is part of a recent initiative aimed at recognising the Loire as a legal entity. This project has received support from the DRAC and the Centre-Val de Loire Region, enabling it to be realised in a unique form presented at the Château de Tours.
